Summer Project + May Goals

So my friend, Eleni, just called me with a brilliant idea/project for the summer. We both are going to document our study aboard experience for POP TV. I am not really a fan of being on camera but I’ll make an exception for this. I feel this will be good preparation for the video resume that Kaitlynn & I plan to make this year.

May’s Goals:

  • Turn 20!
  • Blog more frequently (finals killed this goal last month)
  • Get a Job
  • Go back to Peter Pan Bakery (I still want a box of red velvet donuts)
  • GET A JOB!
  • Save Money!!

I miss these tricks right now!

Thanks for the Memories

In the past year I have gained a lot experiences and memories. I can’t deny the fact that in 2009 I experienced my share of pain. The most painful event of them all was when I had to say goodbye to David who is only 2 years old. I love that kid with all of my soul and knowing he won’t return for at least a year hurts me a lot. I’ve been by his side since his birth so it sort of feels like my child went way. I am still learning to cope with how much I miss him.

Despite all the pain and sideline heartbreak, 2009 still happened to hold many happy memories for me. I have met very interesting people and strengthen my friendships. I guess I can say the one thing I am most proud from 2009 is POP TV. With the help of great friends (Kaitlynn, Eleni & Ivonna), we were able to make an idea manifest into the start of a legacy. And although we were hit with many roadblocks I still feel that we have accomplished a lot. We are really looking forward to developing more next semester. Many of my other memories from 2009 include: summer nights at Hooks & Ladders (to play pool of course lol), various concerts (including Bamboozle, Shakira, Chester French, Nico Vega, and The Cab), Never Shout Never! music video shoot (amazing day), photoshoot (with Meka & Lisa),  MTV show filmings (Woodie Awards, Jonas Brothers special, and Alexa Chung), cooking (mostly with Kaitlynn and Eleni), Yankee Parade, and random craziness with all my friends.

This is how I started my 2009 (taken from my old blog): ”Everyone makes pointless new years resolutions; time for a change. Instead of making empty promises about what I want to do this year, every month I am going to set about 3-5 goals and aim to fulfill most of them before the month is over. These goals range from simple to difficult, but they will all lead towards a better year and life for myself.” As I said, I feel that this process helped me have a good 2009. I am glad that I am able to look back at the year and say “thanks for the memories” and now it is time for the follow through for 2010. These are the goals  I have set for myself so far and I feel that I will have plenty more to come:

January’s Goals

  • Blog more frequently
  • Update resume and portfolio
  • Obtain a steady job and/or internship
  • Work on more video projects to practice video editing
  • Work on increasing the progress of POP TV
  • Study and practice photography (to help me with TPP)
  • Find writers, artists, and editors for CCL
  • Record “Taylor Swift Video”  with Kaitlynn

2010 I am ready for you, get ready to be epic!
